This is some very fluffy wonderful wool batting. It can be used in a wide range of applications and yes, it felts well!  It is 100% natural US wool, in an off white/cream color that has been washed and carded. It still smells like sheep.
This wool is used in our sculptural needle felting kits to make the base shape that gets covered in colored wool. It also works well as a natural stuffing for all kinds of sewn decorations and small toys. It wet felts as well if you are looking to make your own backing for felted pictures or some dryer balls.Â

New to wool felting and I absolutely love it!
I purchased Choose Your Amount Core Wool Batting (1 lb) to have enough to teach 3 different needle felting workshops. Here are some of the makes from the first workshop. I plan to always buy my core wool from Felted Sky, for teaching as well as my own projects!
The core batting is fabulous. Soft and easy to separate, also very clean wool. I will never use another brand đ

This was my 3rd project in needle felting, a memorial piece of my first dog. Used your core wool for the base and the 1/8 oz palette wools to make her markings and her chin whiskers. Especially love the 1/8 oz palette wools, I can get a variety of colors at a good cost for blending the small details in coat colors, paw pads, etc. Experimenting with needle felting cat eyes since I can't find quite the right size or color of glass eyes for my current project (cat).
I love this wool for wet-felting. I have been brushing up on my hand wet-felting techniques. It felts quickly and pairs well with merino rovings I use. I canât wait to try mixing wet-and needle felting on my next projects.

Under this pup is a foundation of your core wool. Itâs so easy to work with. Next project involves wrapping around wired armature. I expect it will work well for this too

Lovely core wool that works up beautifully for needle felting. The quality is fantastic and the price is very reasonable. So far itâs one of my favorite core wools to use. Itâs easy to felt with, and the color works great as a both a base and main body color.

This little guy is 90% or more of core wool with the over layer being in wool from a craft store. The core wool shapes up so nicely! The quality is top notch đ If the whole project had been done with wool from Felted Sky, I know it would have been even better đ„Č Lesson learned.

This is the best core wool Iâve worked with. Iâve used about 4 different versions at this point and the speed in which I can work with this as a base is nuts, has cut about 25 mins off my time. Malleable and forgivable, I mean wool is, but this is so much better. Itâs clean and rolled nicely. I purchased the 1 lb batting and Iâll be able to use this for a while.

Was thinking they would be bigger roving colors. Couldn't picture it in my mind. Too tiny
