I’ve tried a LOT of different wool for needle felting, and this is by far the best. It felts up easily with a smooth finish and beautiful colors.

This felting Wool is 100% made in USA (including the fiber!) unlike many of the other felting batts on the market. If you love supporting small scale domestic production, you can feel good about this product. 40% of the wool in these batts is merino from Texas, and 60% is a mix of medium grade wool from the Eastern US. It is small batch dyed and carded on a beautiful farm in Central Kentucky.
This wool is fairly soft, and fairly short staple with hardly any vegetable matter. It is very uniform and really lovely to work with.
Please note dye lots can and do vary from batch to batch. We are working to minimize this, but there will always be some differences in color, which is part of small scale production.

Perfect!! Dwelled great and easy for a beginner (here). I mixed it with Sunshine & white to create an ombre effect.

The bluebird wool (appropriately named!) was used in this bluebird project (from Dani Ives painting with wool course) as well as cornflower wool. Lovely colors!

This is my favorite color so far which I used to create a felted portrait of a fox. It is great for mixing with other colors.

I used an embroidery transfer pattern to create a 2D picture. I love how nicely this wool felts. I combined a little bit of embroidery with the felting. Needle felting a is relaxing and fun hobby and having quality wool to work with is a joy.
I love the Felted Sky color palette, which is more true to nature than some of the other brands. Also the wool felts like a dream.

The caramel blended almost perfectly with the color I'd had before. Really easy to use and apply, pulled away much better than the packets that came with the kit I'd been gifted.
These were based on photos. Each one took about 4 hours. Some of the fiber was not from Felted Sky, but most was the Felters Palette batting and some was the Felters roving. The Clover needle felting tool, frame and hoop were from Felted Sky. A fun project after making Coastal Water in a class at Midwest Fiber Festival!
