Wood Ball Tool - Slight Seconds

We had a batch of tools that were made that are not perfectly perfect so we are offering them here at a discount price. Some of them may not have the grooves cut incorrectly for the tops of the needles to sit in. In some the needle wheel may not sit perfectly straight when tightened. They still work and you may not notice any issues at all, but we do not feel like we can sell them as first quality tools.

We are very pleased to offer this wooden needle felting tool that helps felting to go faster! We recommend this tool for larger sculptural projects or putting in the not-so-detailed layers of big flat artwork. This tool was designed by Felted Sky with the help of our local Maker-Space, where it is produced.

This wooden tool features a large, ergonomic ball grip for comfortable felting and seven precision cut holes. Grooves next to each hole hold the tops of the needles in place. Simply unscrew the two parts of the tool to change out the needles. This tool works best with our unpainted needles.  Painted needles from other sellers may or may not fit depending on the thickness of the paint. The tool comes packaged in a handsome box with seven of our size 38 Star needles. Any felting needles will fit in the tool though, as long as they are unpainted. If you prefer to work with a different gauge of needle, simply take out the ones that come with the tool and put in the other needles.
