This beautiful wool landscape is a very satisfying project. Easy enough for a beginner, but still enjoyable for an experienced felter. Display it in a special place, or give it to a friend or family member for a special occasion such as a holiday, housewarming or wedding.
Felting time: 3-4 hrs. depending on individual felting speed.
Kit is beautifully packaged and includes:
Beginner's Guide to Needle Felting (a bit of general information)
Instruction Sheet with pictures of every step
Link to video instructions (highly recommended!)
Two color-coded felting needles in a handy paper tube
Felting wool
Linen fabric backing
High quality 7 in. wooden hoop
You will also need:
Scissors and glue to secure the picture in the hoop once it is finished.
A mat to use as a work surface. Choose from foam or wool. Foam is the most economical but wears out the fastest. Wool is eco-friendly, very long lasting and works particularly well for this project but is a higher up front investment.
This kit is intended for adults and kids over 10 yrs. who possess good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work with focus and care. (Caution - felting needles are sharp!)

It was really fun! I definitely did the depth way off, but it was my first time so I enjoyed it regardless and I think I could do better next time.
Good kit…was a little more challenging for me this time to set the wanted boundaries of the subject areas of the picture. Had a lot of fun trying to expand the photo using a shadow box frame and adding some elements. Good quality wool as usual!
This kit was my first attempt at needle felting. The instructional video made it very easy to follow along. I was able to finish in about 2 hours total. The only downside was that I broke both provided needles toward the end of the project and had to finish up with a teeny scrap of needle. They did warn this could happen though. I will be doing another project for sure.

I just received the kit and it is absolutely beautiful. The packaging is incredible. The directions are clear and beautifully written out. The rules are lovely. I especially like the idea that they each have their own color label. To coordinate with the directions. I hope to start the kit in the next couple of days. But I have no doubt that I'm going to enjoy doing it and that it will turn out to be a lovely product.

Most of the colors I used in my rendition came from the kit, however there were a few colors that I used from my own wool collection. I live in the desert so I wanted to add a different variety of desert plants, along with blending the sky to be a bit bluer and the sand to be a bit tanner. I think it came out great, and I already have my next kit waiting for me!

I would like it a whole lot better if there was the design pre-printed on the cloth. I would have preferred that the design was pre-printed on the cloth.
