This listing is for the PDF instructions + video tutorial to make this wintery scene. This project is suitable for beginners and still fun for seasoned felters. Use as a decoration on a shelf, desk, or windowsill or gift it to someone special.
Already have plenty of wool and felting supplies? Don't need the whole kit but just want the pattern? Then this listing is for you.
You will receive digital downloads for:
1. Beginner's Guide to Needle Felting (a bit of general information)
2. Supplies List
3. Instruction Sheet with pictures of every step + link to the video tutorial. Watching the online video is highly recommended and will take you through the whole process from start to finish! It is the next best thing to taking an in person class.
4. A printable image of the finished project
5. A template to help with the scene's sizing
All five documents can be printed (by you) and fit on 8.5x11 paper. There are 7 pages in total.
Supplies that you will need to complete the project:
1. Felting wool: three main colors for the snow, house, and trees, along with small pieces of three highlight colors for details.
2. Felting needles: 36 Triangle and 42 Triangle are used in the tutorial but other needles can be substituted.
3. Felting mat: our 4 in. circle Felter's Foundation is used as the work surface to do the sculpting on but then becomes the base for the scene. Other mats could be used as a work surface. Core wool could be substituted for the base if it is felted into a similar shape.
Items made by using this pattern may be sold if credit is given to Felted Sky for the design.
