This is a very nice thin prefelt that is made in the USA from 100% wool. Prefelt stands for preliminary felt because it is felt that is not all the way felted. That means your needle will glide in very easily without as much effort as felting into craft felt.
This product is very uniform and although it is not very thick, it works well as a backing for felted artwork. Last picture shows a landscape that was made on this prefelt. It also takes dye very well if you want to dye some up for yourself in different shades.
