Everyone who sees this beautiful wool landscape falls in love with it. This is an "advanced beginner" or "intermediate" kit. It is not much harder than our beginner hoop landscapes but it does help to have a little flat felting experience before you dive in. This kit comes with the frame. Leave it unfinished, or you can paint or stain it if you prefer.
Felting time: 4+ hrs. depending on individual felting speed.
Kit is beautifully packaged and includes:
Instruction Booklet with general needle felting info + pictures of every step
Link to video instructions (highly recommended!)
Three color-coded felting needles in a handy paper tube
Three types of felting wool
Wool backing (our Felter's Prefelt)
Pine wood picture frame (11x11 inches)
You will also need:
Glue to secure the picture to the backer board once it is finished. Hot glue is recommended.
A mat to use as a work surface. Choose from foam or wool. Foam is the most economical but wears out the fastest. Wool is eco-friendly, very long lasting and works particularly well for this project but is a higher up front investment.
This kit is intended for adults and kids over 10 yrs. who possess good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work with focus and care. (Caution - felting needles are sharp!)

I love this! The directions were easy to follow (as was the video) and there is plenty of roving and batting left over. There were an ample number of needles included too. I found the textured batting a little difficult to work with. I also wasn’t clear about how thick to make some of my sections or how far over to felt on the backing. But I’m really pleased with my final result. Great kit!
I loved doing this! I really was impressed with the packaging and how the fiber was labeled— some kids are not so considerate. This is my fourth project. My first from Felted Sky. The instruction booklet was well done and I used the video for further understanding when needed. Look forward to doing my next project— as soon as I decide what it will be!
Looked at buying this for a long time. So glad I did. I love how it turned out and learned a lot.
I ordered the lake reflections kit and was very impressed with the presentation and materials. I have done quite a bit of 3D needle felting, and a little wet felting. I wanted to learn how to make a landscape. The tutorial was very easy to follow and I’m excited to move forward with other landscapes . This kit gave me the knowledge and confidence to work in this medium.
I like my results.
It was an absolute delight to work on this project. The instructions were clear and very helpful and yet there was so much freedom to customize to your personal vision. I am officially a fan of wool painting / felting and know this project is the first of many. I am also a huge fan of Felted Sky. I'll be back for more!
I used the supplies to create my own lake scene. Great colors. I really appreciated the written instructions. This was my first wool landscape.
I was intimidated at first by the number of different but similar colors in this kit, but the step-by-step instructions made it clear. I did find myself referring to the video more for this one than I have for other kits, especially for details at the end. The black roving never looked right when I tried to put it over the pale colors, so I tried some other things instead. Overall, this kit was fun to make. I enjoyed working on the prefelt, and I’m happy with how the picture came out.

I loved this kit! I’m not new to needle felting but I don’t usually do landscapes. I made some modifications to mine and love the way it turned out!
Everything came vey nicely packaged. I also didn’t realize i ordered during a big sale and when I inquired about why it hadn’t shipped yet they were very responsive. Like less than an hour responsive. I figured i might get a reaponse the next business day since this a small business with employees handeling multiple aspects, but they were quick. Im just starting my journey into needle felting, but I will be using felted sky again (and maybe for gifting if my sister decides to get into it).
This was a gift and the recipient loved it. I will post photos to the socials when it is completed.
Working on it in spare time. Definitely a relaxing project!

I have not started felting my landscape but my initial impression is that the wool is great quality. I absolutely love how it came packaged. The directions seem very clear. I have quite a bit of felting experience but mostly in 3-D sculptures and a bit of wet felting. This kit will be fun for me to expand my skills.
