This listing is for the PDF instructions + video tutorial to make this capybara. This is an intermediate to advanced project for felters who want to learn how to make realistic looking animals with wire armature. Use as a decoration on a shelf, desk, or windowsill or gift it to someone special.

This kit is designed and taught by artist Megan Nedds of The Woolen Wagon.
You will receive digital downloads for:
1. Beginner's Guide to Needle Felting (a bit of general information)
2. Supplies List
3. Instruction Sheet with pictures of every step + link to the video tutorial. Watching the online video is highly recommended and will take you through the whole process from start to finish! It is the next best thing to taking an in person class.
4. A printable image of the finished project
5. A template to help with body part sizing
6. An armature guide to help you create the frame
All six documents can be printed (by you) and fit on 8.5x11 paper. There are 8 pages in total.
Main supplies that you will need to complete the project:
1. Felting wool: in five colors similar to the ones shown.
2. Felting needles: 38 Star and 36 Reverse Barb are used in the tutorial but other needles can be substituted.
3. Felting mat: foam, burlap or wool - to use as a work surface. Video shows our wool mat
4. 37 in. piece of wire (18 gauge or similar)
5. 44 in. piece of wire (24 gauge or similar)
6. Two 4 mm glass eyes on wire
7. 1 round toothpick
8. 1 coffee stirrer cut to 1.25 in.
